We are excited  to announce a Save Haven Baby Boxes Billboard Campaign in Fort Wayne. Starting in July, you can view one of the four billboards around the city. Safe Haven Baby Boxes has had a tremendous impact in Indiana as both 2017 and 2018 have been without abandonments. There have been two babies saved in the Michigan City box : Baby Hope  &  Baby Grace. Safe Haven Baby Boxes also operates a 24/7 hotline for mother’s in crisis. Public knowledge of Safe Haven Laws is crucial for women that may be struggling for options.

“Allen County Right to Life has long-supported the life-saving work of Safe Haven Baby Boxes,” said Cathie Humbarger, Executive Director of Allen County Right to Life, “We wish all children were born into healthy situations, but we recognize that tragic circumstances have caused women to both legally and illegally abandon their children. Safe Haven Baby Boxes are helping women in those desperate situations and saving them from a lifetime of regret. Safe Haven Baby Boxes have already had a positive impact in Indiana, with two babies legally surrendered. Since the baby safes were introduced in our state, there have been no deadly abandonments. Safe Haven Baby Boxes also report that babies have been saved after their guardians contacted the Baby Safe Hotline at 1-866-99BABY1. We thank our supporters for helping this billboard campaign become a reality. We also extend our thanks for the local legislators who spearheaded the expansion of the Safe Haven Law in the Indiana legislature.”
